Sanitation and Housing in Bonito (PE)
At the invitation of the municipal government of Bonito (Pernambuco, Brazil) and in partnership with Espaço Feminista, the Terra Viva do Brasil Institute is collaborating on a project in Colônia, a community facing structural challenges such as the lack of proper sanitation infrastructure. The initiative will benefit around 150 families, improving their quality of life. Terra Viva do Brasil Institute will coordinate the development of the sanitation and drainage plan, seeking sustainable solutions that meet the community’s needs. The project will be designed by a specialized technician, in dialogue with the municipality’s technical team. The local government will be responsible for implementation, with our ongoing support. Clean Water, Plant Nursery, and Community Garden in Sítio Fundão
Based on the needs expressed by the residents of Sítio Fundão, a rural community in Caruaru (Pernambuco, Brazil), the Terra Viva do Brasil Institute, in partnership with Espaço Feminista and the Mãos que Acolhem Association, is developing an integrated project to ensure access to clean water. The initiative includes the study and implementation of a system for collecting, treating, and distributing water for household use and for cultivating plants and vegetables in a collective nursery.
